About Us
Hello! My name is Scott Rudich, and thanks for your interest in Platinum Disc Jockeys. I’d like to take a moment to tell you a little about myself, and how I got into the business.
I started out DJing at College parties for fun. No matter where I went I always wound up behind the CD player. I took this love of music to WUND (Notre Dame’s Radio Station) and got my first real taste of being a disc Jockey. I progressed from there to working in clubs at college. After a several year hiatus, I met Brian in 2002 and joined Platinum. I was hesitant to get into the Wedding DJ’s business since I have always been on the cutting edge of music (I still am), but after a few gigs, I really got the bug and found that entertaining 200 wedding guests was more fun than playing a club. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic. My father got me into music and he was a teenager when Bill Haley and the Comets sang “Rock around the Clock.” I am steeped in early Rock n Roll and Motown. Growing up there were two radio stations in my town, Classic Rock and Classic metal. As a kid I was in a Kiss “Air Band”. I grew up with an alternative bent following Bob Mould, the Replacements and The Cure. It was not until college that I discovered Hip Hop. Needless to say I can mix music from many genres and many decades.
I have been with Platinum DJs since 2002, and I am now the longest tenured DJ of the under 35 crowd. I average about 26-30 events per year including holiday parties, birthday parties, corporate events. My specialty is in weddings which comprise the vast majority of my events. I derive great satisfaction and enjoyment from entertaining people. I take pride in my promptness, reliability and professionalism. I work well with banquet staffs, other vendors and most important of all our clients. I have played at facilities spanning across Montgomery, Philadelphia, Chester, Lancaster and Delaware counties. I have been as far north as Scranton.
