John Kelly brought his talents to Platinum in the Spring of 2009. Perhaps best know as drummer for his own local cover band- Decade 8 – John has also been involved in the DJ part of the entertainment business for many years as well. Besides working private parties and weddings on the weekends, John can be found spinning weekly at such places as The Trappe Tavern, Bally’s Beach Bar and Harrah’s Chester Casino. In addition he performs an acoustic set Sunday evenings at The Trappe Tavern with the John Kelly Crew.

“I just love music and entertaining a crowd wether I’m playing and singing with the band or working a party as a DJ. The energy and excitement that feeds back from the crowd tells you that you are doing a great job. To know that what you are doing is making those people have such a great time is really cool. I love 80’s music- Decade 8? – because there was just so much good music put out at that time, but there’s also great new music that comes out every day. The great thing about my job is I get to do something different each night depending on what party I am playing. It’s all about making sure everyone has a great time no matter thier age and no matter what it takes.”
